SeaWorld is completely revamping the existing Shamu’s Happy Harbor to provide greater opportunities for family fun.
In addition to renaming the area ‘Sesame’s Bay of Play,’ the whole area is being extensively re-themed with new paint and signage with splashy graphics.
New construction consists of 2 new buildings: one with an outdoor stage with shade covering for performances as well as support spaces for the staff and changing areas and costume storage for the “characters” the other building is a photo opportunity with Sesame Street characters.
Two additional family rides with ride support structures, will be added as well as the relocation of 2 existing rides.
The children’s water play area is tripling in size and will now accommodate toddlers in separate wet and dry play areas.
Additional changes include: funship enhancements, re-routed tube crawl, a new sky bridge for children and adults alike, additional seating and shade areas, and new pathways throughout.
