Tobin Center for the Performing Arts

With an expected unveiling in September of 2013, San Antonio’s famed Municipal Auditorium (c.1926) will be renovated and reborn as The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts. Featuring exceptional sound, acoustics and seating arrangements, the Tobin Center will become the finest performance facility in south Texas.

This world-class facility will allow performing artists from around the globe to take the stage and enthrall audiences with their unique forms of music, theater and dance. The Tobin Center will also serve as home to a number of resident companies, such as the San Antonio Symphony, San Antonio Opera and Ballet San Antonio.

Fisher Heck has been retained as the historic preservation consultant to provide technical expertise on the restoration of the historic building, as well as guiding the project through the necesary regulatory processes and consultations with other preservation stakeholders.
